The Marring of the Nag Hammadi

Think of the Father-Mother God as a sublime spirit with both a right & left arm, who wishes to surround you in synchronistic embrace. Our response can be to step forward, step backward - or worse - not even be aware our Father-Mother God is embracing us. We may even need a flashlight to see such a spirit, since we inhabit such a dark and dense place - EARTH-MATTER!

What makes this scene even more deplorable is that there are certain 'forces' which act to - as it were - DRAIN the batteries of our flashlight, so that we cannot even begin to see THE LIGHT! (Although an allegory, this scene may reflect what is happening right now as part of TOTAL REALITY within the Kingdom of Man, so that THE LIGHT of THE KINGDOM OF GOD cannot be perceived properly.) Allow me to explain.

Let's assume for argument's sake that THE NAG HAMMADI LIBRARY [1] represents a form of ENERGIZER that replenishes our 'drained' batteries so that we can 'see' more clearly. (This series of tractates [like chapters in a book] found in 1945, may have thrown a MIGHTY LIGHT on perceiving the darkness, and more importantly, seeing what exactly is going on IN that darkness.) [Note:] If someone or something is trying to sabotage this very ENERGIZER so your batteries REMAIN DRAINED, THEN IT MAY BE TIME FOR A 'clarion call' that will possibly impeccably - NIP - this process - as it were - in the 'BUD!'

As I was reading Jim Marrs' new book, 'RULE by SECRECY', {2} everything was going 'swimmingly' until I got to page 290, and thereafter through page 312. In these 23 pages, I found information that I perceived was wittingly or unwittingly 'MARRING' what I consider one of the most sacred & sublime groups of writings [tractates] that we currently have, that throws that MIGHTY LIGHT on our earthly predicament, as well as SPOTLIGHTING the keys to our LIBERATION...Allow me to explain....

In a previous essay I wrote called, THE CORE OF GNOSIS, I tried to describe the absolute sublimity of the Father-Mother God reaching out to us standing in the darkness, while showing us the WAY to the next level via the following of the path as was suggested by the LOGOS-LIGHT, who, in some of the tractates of the NAG HAMMADI is strongly suggestive of Jesus the Christ. Since Jesus himself said as was reflected in THE NEW TESTAMENT, after being 'CHRISTED' (Anointed) at the Jordan River: I AM FROM ABOVE - YOU ARE FROM BELOW...why, oh why, would he have any intention of continuing His Kingdom HERE in EARTH-MATTER via the spreading of so-called 'blood royal' through a earth female - one Mary Magdalene??? The fact is HE DID NOT, nor is that EVER alluded to CONTEXTUALLY within the NAG HAMMADI LIBRARY. So why is this most sacred book [volume of codices] being used to 'show'that it endorses the so-called 'JESUS-SEED' concept??? SIMPLE: those who reference certain tractates within the NAG HAMMADI are 'prooftexting' but they are ignorantly (either wittingly or unwittingly) avoiding the 'context' of the very words they quote, Jim Marrs being a specific example.

To fully appreciate the point I wish to focus on, I would like to cite an observation made by Marilynn McDermit in her small treatise, 'REINCARNATION: A BIBLICAL DOCTRINE." She warns that we must be careful NOT to 'prooftext', but keep 'in context' - or not use a verse or part of a verse in the BIBLE to prove a point, but take the entire verse and its total content (verse before & after.) [3] She, armed with a Doctor's Degree in Advanced Esoteric Studies from the International Church of Ageless Wisdom, as well as the teachings of The Holy Spirit (as in the spirit of JOHN 14:26) was the mighty armor with mighty credentials. By the way, this 'spirit' states that (he [or she] who keeps the words of Jesus and loves the son sent from the Father, [the Father-Mother God of all that Jesus referred to as 'ABBA'], that person will be sent the Holy Spirit who will teach you ALL things...) It is such a person who is showing us VERY CLEARLY that those (like Billy Graham for instance), who quote Hebrews 9:27 as "proof" that reincarnation is not a reality, as in - "It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment" - are, according to Ms. McDermit, "PROOFTEXTING" - but - NOT GIVING PROOF! She goes on to show that the context, (the line directly after, the whole epistle of HEBREWS & another Pauline epistle - 1 CORENTHIANS 15:20, reflect just the opposite, i.e. the likelihood of reincarnation.)

McDermit ends her argument with the following summation remark: "The physical body of man truly does die once, and after that we are judged - BY OURSELVES (my emphasis) when confronted by our next life and what we desired to accomplish in our quest to return to the Father as a perfect being. (Please note again Jesus' prayer in JOHN 17.) [4]

Besides noting, as a reincarnation researcher, that it was the murdering Emperor Constantine who first forced the tenet of reincarnation out of the accepted thinking in the CHURCH, [think about that!], what was so important about the prayer of Jesus in JOHN, chapter 17? That prayer, of course, is one of the KEYS to gnosis (THE CORE OF GNOSIS), where humans evolve through reincarnation into other human beings for the purpose of becoming one with the Father..."That they all may be one as thou, Father, are in me, and I in Thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou has sent me, and the glory which thou gavest me, I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one." (JOHN 17:21-22) [5}

Now the reader may be saying to himself/herself at this point; Well that is all fine & dandy, but what does it have to do with 'THE MARRING OF THE NAG?" And so it is time to turn to Jim Marrs' aforementioned book. He clearly states the following with no critical analysis apparent:

"The concept of Mary Magdalene & Jesus as a couple is one supported by the Gnostic writings discovered at Nag Hammadi, Egypt, in 1945. In the Gospel of Philip, named for the Apostle Philip and believed written in the second half of the third century, it is written "And the companion of the Savior is Mary Magdalene. But Christ loved her more than all the disciples and used to kiss her often on her mouth. The rest of the disciples were offended by it and expressed disapproval. They said to him, 'Why do you love her more than all of us? Jesus answered them with a lengthy discourse on how "Great is the mystery of marriage!" And how it was "a great power" necessary to the existence of the world. {6}

Marrs further links the above concept as a form of "proof" that corroborates an oral tradition by the Cathers (a type of pseudo-Gnostic group whose name meant 'Pure Ones', who were ruthlessly exterminated by the Vatican between 1208 & 1244) that there was an intimate relationship between Jesus & Mary Magdalene. According to Marrs, the Cathers may have gotten this information from the Knight Templars who had returned to Languedoc. (Landuedoc was an area that encompassed the Mediterranean coast west of Marseilles, the Black & Corbieres Mountains and the Pyrenees, which separated the area from Spain, but being more closely tied to Spain than France.) Marrs further weaves in the research of Michael Baigent & Richard Leigh, who, in their book, HOLY BLOOD, HOLY GRAIL, try to link an actual bloodline that eventually became the Merovingian Kings of southern France, which of course allegedly stemmed from the Royal bloodline ('blood royal') seed of Jesus & Mary Magdalene. [7]

IS YOUR BLOOD BOILING AFTER READING THIS DISCLOSURE? It is the stated purpose of this essay to put a magnifying glass to the ROOT of this myth, or like a weed, if left unchallenged, it may grow and chock us all! AND to add insult to injury, David Icke in his book, THE BIGGEST SECRET, confirms that there was a royal bloodline ('blood royal') that was passed through the Merovingians, but because he determined that the Jesus' story was a "myth", there were other REPTILIAN FORCES at work (THE BABYLONIAN BROTHERHOOD), that were responsible for such a 'Royal' bloodline. [8]

SO WHO DO WE BELIEVE, MARRS or ICKE or MAYBE NEITHER!?!

Let's see if we can KILL (figuratively of course) TWO BIRDS (icke & marrs) with TWO stones. (I'd like to use just one stone, but this is a very complicated Gordian knot - not easily severed.) David Icke, despite some controversially good research, especially as it concerns the MAJOR DECEPTION of the Internal Revenue Service's attempt to misapply the legitimate income tax laws to the citizens, living & working within the 50 states - (the real biggest secret slowly being recognized), despite many of the accurate things he did state in his book, alas suffers from an IMPECCABLE BLINDSPOT in at least ONE area of his research; for instance, he states categorically that Jesus is a 'MYTH'; however, ironically, he quotes sources like Tacitus (which means he is at least aware of Tacitus,) yet it is this SAME Tacitus who historically is pointed to as the one ''impeccable' source which shows CLEARLY that Jesus (Christus) was crucified by a 'Pontius Pilatus' who made 'Christus' undergo the "extreme penalty"....According to Christian scholar (actually a Buddhist turned Christian - Edwin Yamauchi), this was, in fact - CRUCIFIXTION! {9} THEREFORE, Icke can be dismissed as a spiritual nobody for hoisting himself on his own petard, i.e. TACITUS!

STONE # TWO: MARRS: Previously, I had mentioned just how important it was to see concepts in CONTEXT vs. 'prooftexting' as Marilynn McDermit made extremely clear in using the example of misconstruing the importance of the concept of REINCARNATION. Jim Marrs has sadly but ENTIRELY missed the significance of Mary Magdalene in his NAG HAMMADI reference - something like only seeing trees, but not the forest! (Since Mr. Marrs writes otherwise very intelligently in other areas, it suggests to me that he never really took the time to grapple with WHY all 52 tractates were gathered together in ONE collection; we are ALL, myself included, at fault in this area. That is why we should exert every possible means never to assume things to be either true or false - UNLESS or UNTIL you have at least probable impeccable reasons for so stating your case, at least as far as humanly possible.)

Having stated that, allow me to 'mar' Marrs! Seriously, what Marrs does NOT state about 'The Gospel of Philip' (which is, in fact, one of the 52 tractates of the NAG HAMMADI,) concerns the SPECIAL SPIRITUAL RELATIONSHIP between Jesus & Mary Magdalene, just as Jesus expressed a SPECIAL SPIRITUAL RELATIONSHIP with 'James the Just'. (After all, he kissed both of them on the lips[mouth] and I never heard of a theologian suggest that Jesus was a homosexual! Have you?)

We know Jesus kissed James on the mouth because if you have read another tractate, not 'The Gospel of Philip', but rather, 'The (Second) Apocalypse of James', where James the 'Just' spoke thusly:

"'And he (Jesus) kissed my mouth. He took hold of me, saying, "My beloved! Behold I shall reveal to you those (things) that (neither) [the] heavens nor their archons have known. Behold, I shall reveal to you those (things) that he ([Yaltabaoth assumed]) did not know, he who [boasted, '...there is no] other except me. [10]

At this point, you may wish to ask two questions; (1) What are 'archons?' & (2) Who, in God's name, is 'Yaltabaoth?' Fair enough. Let's take one question at a time, before we get back to Jesus kissing both James & Mary.

If you ever were to read another work written by Michael Baigent (& co.), called, THE TEMPLE & THE LODGE, where he gives the history of the FREEMASONS, WITHOUT condemning them as a nefarious blood-sucking NEW WORLD ORDER insider group who are ready willing & able to control the world as ruthlessly as possible, which some researchers perceive as a consideration WORTHY of concur, then you would know what an ARCHON is. Baigent highlights's Plato's 'TIMAEUS' who calls:

THE CREATOR - [architect of the universe]

tekton - [a craftsman]

arche-tekton - [a master craftsman] {11}

The shortened version of 'arche-tekton' therefore becomes ARCH-ON (archon) and this master craftsman had a leader - or CHIEF architect master craftsman - or - YES - the answer to question #2 ['YALTABAOTH']. Incidentally, if you read just two other tractates, you will be 'fully informed' as to the nature of this LESS THAN PERFECT 'ruler of the universe', and by extension - YOUR ruler also, at least until you find the keys to the PRISON: (1) 'The Hypostasis of the ARCHONS' (there is that word, again), and (2) 'The Apocryphon of John' (giving the best overall view of the Gnostic concepts). It may even open an eye or two &/or raise a few eyebrows, as you fumble through the fog of 'The Kingdom of Man'.

Of course, speaking contextually, we know just how spiritually important James the 'Just' was, when we consider the implications of one of the most famous of tractates, which was so REVERED in 'THE EAST' that it was considered - 'THE FIFTH GOSPEL', namely, 'The Gospel of Thomas', yet another priceless sacred writing among the 52 tractates found at Nag Hammadi, Egypt, in 1945. In 'Saying #12' of this gospel, where Jesus' disciples, knowing he will soon depart, ask, "Who is to be our leader?" Jesus said to them, "Wherever you are, you are to go to James the righteous (the Just), for whose sake heaven & earth came into being."

When I first read this, I was puzzled, so I found the meaning of the words in Robert Winterhalter's, THE FIFTH GOSPEL. Another annotated version of the above would be an easier to find reference, namely, Marvin Meyer's THE GOSPEL OF THOMAS, where he explains that the expression, "...for whose sake heaven and earth came into being" was used in Jewish literature to praise someone, and in James' case, a man of extraordinary holiness, who prayed so often on his knees for forgiveness for his people, that his knees 'grew dry like a camel's'. {12} And what was James' reward by 'the kingdom of man in action' for demonstrating such holiness: THEY STONED HIM TO DEATH!?!

Just like there are all forms of love, from erotic to the filial to the supreme form - THE AGAPIC, so too are there all forms of kissing. How can one assume that because Jesus kissed Mary Magdalene on the lips, that it automatically was inferred (...by the ignorant & shortsighted) that this was a sign of EROTIC romantic love, which would lead to 'ROYAL BLOODLINE CHILDREN'? How, oh how, is this any different from a loving mother kissing a male son...or a father kissing his loving daughter...or Jesus kissing his BROTHER James?

WHAT THE CONTEXT IS...SHOULD BE THE DETERMINING FACTOR!

In 'The Gospel of Philip' when the disciples asked, "Why do you love her (Mary Magdalene) more than all of us? - Jesus, BEFORE going into any discourse on marriage (which was a spiritual analogy, by the way,)

SPECIFICALLY answered them in his razor-like manner when he wanted to get to 'the heart of the matter'. "Why do I not love you like her? When a blind man and ONE WHO SEES (my emphasis) are both together in darkness, they are no different from one another. When the light comes, then HE WHO SEES (my emphasis) will see the light, and he who is blind will remain in darkness. {13} Needless to say, this is a far cry from telling them that he was enamored with Mary's physical beauty, and therefore, would want to have ROYAL SEX with her!!!

In the same gospel, much has been made about Philip referring to Jesus as 'The son of the son of man' as if there were a series of 'Royal Begettings' going on as in 'blood royal'; {14} however, this phrase was later explained by Douglas Parrot in the introduction to the tractate, 'Eugnostos the Blessed', that there was a super hierarchy (beyond the physical world), that comprised five principal divine beings: namely, Unbegoten Father; his reflection, called Self-Father; Self-Fathers hypostatized power, Immortal Man, who is androgynous; Immortal Man's androgynous son, Son of Man; and Son of Man's androgynous son, the Savior....Some of the beings that 'spring' from these beings are 'ineffable joy' & 'unutterable jubilation' {15} so CLEARLY, the 'son of the son of man' is a SPIRITUAL designation, and not - as it were - a blood-descendent line of 'gross' human begettings!

When one actually reads the WHOLE of the NAG HAMMADI LIBRARY, perhaps one may agree with the comment made by 'New Realities' who, in their critique of the NAG stated, "The most important book of many a decade."

To really appreciate who Mary Magdalene represented, as well as what she did NOT represent, we must go outside of 'The Gospel of Philip' and see Mary IN CONTEXT! 'The Gospel of Mary' tractate reflected the TRUE SPIRITUAL STATE of the Magdalene. If you read the whole tractate, which only runs four precious pages, Mary was the one who encouraged the others not to fear for their lives for preaching the gospel of the kingdom (of God), but to be resolute for Jesus' grace will protect you. Then she went on to make the astounding statement, "But rather let us praise his greatness, for he has prepared us and made us into men." {16}

Again, here 'men' means...as in the spiritual man, those who have been given the active power, enabling them to become a participant in higher spiritual activity...as opposed to the female principal, which has more to do with receiving. (It has nothing to do with Mary having a sex change, and even if 'some' thought it did, the myth-makers & distortionists of the 'Jesus story' would be HARD-PRESSED to fit this statement in, for obvious reasons.) Even in 'The Gospel of Thomas' [Saying #114] when Simon Peter said to the disciples, "Let Mary (Magdalene) leave us, for women are not worthy of life." Jesus said, "I myself shall lead her in order to make her male, so that she too may become a living spirit resembling you males. For every woman who will make herself male will enter the Kingdom of heaven." {17}

I think it is fair to say that the normal person reading these lines would have little or no comprehension of its deep meaning - without - ASKING - SEEKING - yes, even KNOCKING for help. Yet the very 1st lines of this gospel stated emphatically: WHOEVER FINDS THE INTERPRETAION OF THESE SAYINGS WILL NOT EXPERIENCE DEATH." {18}

So let's seek, shall we? We start our search by turning to our friend Marvin Meyer, who noted this enigmatic 'Saying #114' with an observation as well as two pertinent references. Who is Marvin Meyer? He is a research director at the Institute for Antiquity & Christianity at Claremont Graduate School. From his text I quote, "Often the transformation of the female into the male involves the transformation of all that is earth, perishable, passive, and sense-perceptible into what is heavenly, imperishable, active (my emphasis) and rational. In short, what is connected with the earth Mother is to be transformed into what is connected with the sky Father. If this is a correct interpretation of (the) Gospel of Thomas saying 114, then the saying is intended to be a statement of liberation, although the specific use of gender categories may be shocking to modern sensitivities....followed by a reference of Clement of Alexandria, (taking) an excerpt from Theodotus 79:

As long, then, as the seed is still unformed, they say, it is a child of the female, but when it is formed, it was changed into a man and becomes a son of the bride-groom. No longer is it weak and subject to the cosmic (forces), visible and invisible, but, having become male, it becomes a male fruit....followed by a reference of James (the 'Just') from 'The First Apocalypse of James 41,15-19 The perishable has gone [up] to the imperishable, and [the] element of femaleness has attained to the element of this maleness. {19}

To sum up then, to become 'MALE' in the spiritual sense is to become LIBERATED!

Even if, having enumerated all of the above, and you are still debating in your mind that Jesus may have had intercourse with Mary Magdalene, leading to a Royal bloodline, then consider the following: Despite the notion that Mary may have been considered a prostitute (which never was stated in THE NEW TESTAMENT), that somehow cried such compassionate tears that Jesus forgave her "many sins" because she has loved "much", (known only as the 'penitent woman' of LUKE), just remember that 'THE PISTIS SOPHIA' represents her as "...the most spiritual by far of all the disciples." {20} 'The Pistis Sophia' was NOT a part of THE NAG HAMMADI LIBRARY, yet certainly reflects the same sentiments of Mary as in "The Gospel of Philip', 'The Gospel of Mary' & 'The Gospel of Thomas', NONE OF WHICH ARE 'canonical', but, for those who know real church history, this does NOT mean it does not reflect higher spiritual truths (maybe even higher), too sensitive to be freely given initially to spiritually ignorant children; [SORRY!] another way of saying this would be: DO NOT CAST YOUR PEARLS AMONG SWINE. [SORRY!] In writing this essay, I counterbalance this approach with the suggestion: DO NOT MAR OR TARNISH A SUBLIME GROUP OF WRITINGS IN PUBLIC, OR BE WILLING, IN PUBLIC, TO ACCEPT CRITICAL CROSS-EXAMINATION, written in the spirit of enlightenment - and NOT out of vindictiveness.

Lastly, the ending lines of 'The Gospel of Mary' says it all. Levi said to Peter (the one Jesus gave the keys to the Kingdom of God):

"Peter, you have always been hot-tempered. Now I see you contending against the woman (Mary) like the adversaries. But if the Savior made her worthy, who are you indeed to reject her? Surely the Savior knows her very well. That is why he loved her more than us. Rather let us be ashamed and put on the perfect man and acquire him for ourselves as he commanded us, and preach the gospel, not laying down any other rule or other law beyond what the Savior said." [21]

Is it obvious yet why investigators like Jim Marrs & David Icke must be extremely careful, impeccably so, before they promote (even infer) what at best, is a form of ignorance, and at worst, a form of disinformation? DISINFORMATION is likened to a baseball pitcher throwing a hitter nine straight fastballs (straight & true statements) in order to strike out the 'NOW SET-UP' hitter - YOU - with a curve ball (the big lie!)....Remember, the lie - the deception - is meant to keep you restrained (i.e. in prison) which may reflect the goal of the Biblical Satan - the CHIEF -OF LIARS (as a warden?) THE NAG HAMMADI LIBRARY is a volume of books, showing spiritually, chapter by chapter (52 in all) how you can obtain your freedom (a pardon?). To be forewarned about the sophisticated methods used by Satanic-like slick individuals, (many of them with advanced academic degrees and money to burn), is to be forearmed. Some of these above-mentioned types may be the lions & wolves roaming about seeking whom they can devour. Some they cannot! Spiritual discernment is imperative so you do not wind up a 'lambchop'. Just become a lamb. The best advice came from the one who became one with the Father (The Father-Mother God of one & all):

"BE WISE AS THE SERPENT, YET GENTLE AS THE DOVE."

 When you perfect this concept in UNCONDITIONAL LOVE, you will be ready to discard the rags of the kingdom of man, so as to FULLY EMBRACE your real father & mother. Then you will recognize the place from which you started - and you will be home again - AT LAST!

Remember, one's love for the truth must be greater than one's need for approval. {22} This observation by Eve Lorgen, (also the author of the insightful, THE LOVE BITE), referred to not being embarrassed to use 'spiritual warfare' to combat the negative forces operating on this EARTH-MATTER plane (the prison) . (According to other insightful alien abduction researchers, it really works - try it!) The NAG HAMMADI LIBRARY is replete with references regarding these serpent-like reptoid beings, (the wardens), which are far in advance of your local reptoid: the snake or the alligator. The seekers of truth that 'The Nag' speaks to, must walk alone as 'WANDERERS'. Obviously, if you look for approval from others, your journey may never end.

FINAL OBSERVATION: Was I the only one who was disturbed by the connection Jim Marrs was alluding to among Jesus, Mary Magdalene, their descendents' journeying to France and implying that a priest-king type person may eventually emerge to claim the allegiance of one & all, using certain 'sacred texts' as 'proof' of his kingship? NO, THANK GOD!

Bill Kalogonis wrote a book called, "THE LANCE, THE SWASTIKA & THE MEROVINGIANS". The author strongly suggests that such a bloodline (even though a deceptive myth) COULD usher in no less a personage than 'THE ANTICHRIST'! He further observes that "...considering the Biblical warnings regarding the greatness of the signs which the antichrist will put forward in trying to prove his legitimacy, would it really be out of the realm of possibility for the antichrist to stake his claim for authority upon the grounds that he was literally the lineal descendent of Jesus Christ himself? And what if he were to produce 'that proof' for THAT CLAIM, say newly discovered records from the Temple in Jerusalem, saved just prior to its destruction in 70 A.D. Or some other such earth-shaking evidence which would seem to substantiate his claim? {23}

After all is said & done, do you now understand the importance of getting to the ROOT OF THINGS? To contextualize means, in effect, ASKING -SEEKING- KNOCKING. If you are too concerned with other matters, then do not complain as the gates slam behind you - just another lamb being led to the slaughter....

LAMBCHOPS, ANYONE? CHEAP! A REAL BARGAIN! REAL CHEAP!

 "Seek first the Kingdom of God and his justice, and all these things shall be given you besides." [MATT.6: 33].....The rest of 'these things' may therefore be probably impeccably secondary.
